Processor Caring

Processor Caring – Often the processor on the computer have a problem that is not trivial, the cause of the problem is one of them due to excessive heat (overheating) so as to make the computer restarts frequently and may off suddenly. So take a few tips to keep the processor temperature, by ensuring the processor cooler (headsink) and fan can work properly.

Here are a few things to note relating to the processor :

  • Make sure the top of your processor has been smeared with thermal paste. Thermal grease and thermal paste is a material that serves to remove heat from the processor to headsink. For silver-colored thermal paste has better quality than the white.
  • Make sure the less circulation casing path smooth, because the casing is less circulation will cause the hardware components inside, including the processor, will heat faster.
  • Tidy up the cables, especially cables ATA type which larger and wider than the SATA cable. A tidy cables can expedite the flow of air in the casing.
  • For personal computers, maybe you can open the casing cover, for the effectiveness of the smooth circulation of air, although perhaps not in accordance with the aesthetic value and are not unsightly because the hardware it will be seen from the outside.

Here are the main tips for processor caring :

  • Disconnect electrical contacts from your computer. Let the headsink cooling itself for a few minutes, then open headsink and fan from the processor.
  • Separate fan and headsink, then clean the fan with a damp cloth. Clean the headsink of dust or wash with a brush or a soft brush. Drain and try headsink no residual water in the gap headsink to avoid electric shorting.
  • Replace the fan with headsink, and attach them to the processor.
  • You can do the treatment once in 3 months, especially in an air-conditioned room. However, if the environment is a lot of dust, treatment can be done every once a month.
